Photo Books

It's 12:30 here.  I haven't taken a shower yet.  I've been working on a project.  Three photo books for the price of one on Snapfish, code1Book2Free at checkout and you can have buggy eyes, too.

Compiling all the good photos from the last two years into three separate folders.  I'm about 2/3 of the way done.  I still need to go through all the pictures from Yosemite and pick out a few there.  Then lay everything out.  Busy, but fun.  (the coupon is only good until Nov 4)  Will you make photo books, too?

Send me an email if you'd like me to forward you the email I got.

For all my non family readers (I think there are a few of you!), go look at my brother-in-law Adam's blog.  He is an amazing wedding photographer.  And his last two posts are about buying a camera and taking great wedding shots.  Also, you can download this picture or tomorrow's (or the day after's) at this link for your wallpaper.  Plus he does amazing family photos, and he's super cool.

Sabbaday Falls

An image for our last Sunday in Maine. A falls we saw on our last camping trip in New Hampshire. This is a good place to be.

Glam Hikers

Jesse worked today, so the kids and I went to Thorncrag (our local bird sanctuary) for a little hike in the splendid weather. We had fun tromping through the somewhat muddy forest. Monkey brought her sand pail (she just won at the Easter egg hunt) and played in the water. She really wanted to make mud, but I think there was enough naturally occurring, she didn't feel as compelled to as she did in the beginning. The lighting was good and my subjects were feeling posey, so we took some glam shots. They are growing so quickly. We're a bit stunned at how beautiful Mermaid is becoming. Thank goodness she needs glasses and no matter what the dentist says, those braces are not going on until her 16th birthday.

Classic Japan

Going through photos and came across this gem. M's graduation from kindergarten, April 2008. Feeling the nationalistic pride.

Classic Mermaid and Cousin Ez

Jesse has me organizing the photos and I'm coming across some classic gems like this one. These two are now 7 and 8.

Park Day

We went to the park yesterday and I knew the lighting would be good so I brought my camera. Yay for foresight!

Picture Day

Here's my girl. First grade mug shot. I love how she looks so much like Jesse when he was a kid. Of course, she's way cuter. I don't have a picture of little J, but here's one of me in 2nd grade.

Hike to Tsumago

8 fun kilometers. Plenty of shade, water, even the Monkey hiked a bit.

Magome

I'm not that great at narratives, so here's our vacation in pictures. We took the train to Hachioji for Ian's baptism (yup, he's 8), a bus to Magome, walked to Tsumago, took a train to Matsumoto and a bus home. Even if it's home for just another 10 days, it's still nice to be back.

Plum Blossom

Despite the rain the last two days, Spring has come to Tokyo. The cherry blossoms open a little later, but we're looking forward to it.
