Last year's films?

Our library here is nothing short of amazing. It's huge, beautiful, and has books, dvds, and cds galore. I managed to get arm loads of books but as I browsed the dvds, I didn't know where to start.

So here's my question for you. What movies did I miss last year? What were your favorites? Which ones should I miss? Do tell.

  1. I looked back on my Netflix log for movies that we liked from last year....

    Freedon Writers
    27 Dresses
    Ron Clarke Story
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
    National Treasure 2
    August Rush
    Bourne Ultimatum
    We Are Marshall

  2. If you want the road less traveled...
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
    Hula Girls
I'm sure I can think of some more, since I'm movie obsessed.

  3. in order...

    chaos theory (Fiction)
    Rhapsody in August (Fiction)
    Ballet Russe (Documentary)
    Darwin's Nightmare (Documentary)
    Chevolution (Documentary)

  4. Oh, and for the road well traveled by those who like to think they are well traveled---
    Michael Clayton
    3:10 to Yuma
    2 days in Paris
Once (you HAVE to see this one, even if you ignore all my other suggestions)

In the Name of the King
We watched it last night. It was gloriously bad and blatantly tried to be Lord of the Rings.

  5. Whoops. Sorry, that was Mariko. Didn't realize it was on Damaris' account.

  6. I second the vote for "Once". It's a great movie, the language gets pretty rough, but absolutely a great film.

  7. gosh my picture comes up a lot in these comments.
anyway... you have to watch Persepolis. It's pretty great.
