This is the second month in a row we've had a woman from a stake auxiliary speak on high council Sunday in addition to a high councilor. Is this anywhere else? Is it just me that can't help think "it's about stinking time!"?
I asked a bishop once why it was that the last talk in sacrament meeting was always given by a man. he answered that it was the most important, that's why. I wanted to ask him why it was then that he always fell asleep, but I didn't. My ward in Santa Cruz is the first ward that does not follow that trend. It is also the first ward where it's all guys in the nursery and where women teach all Sunday school classes. It takes us out of our comfort zone. i like it.
Yeah, and so far they have given better talks than the high council speakers.
